Auto Camera and Archive
– September 2 –
This week we go bowling! We’re also dropping even more information about the Mega Update: the Auto Camera (a tool for new and old players alike) and the Archive (levels that are outdated/obsolete with the new update).
Let’s jump into it – the Mega Update approaches!

Weekly Challenge: Bowling
Last week we were airborne, this week we’re rolling low. Make sure to watch out for the bumpers on Uphill Both Ways – they’re not as helpful as real life bumpers!

Auto Camera
The Mega Update not only revamps the introductory levels, but this update also introduces the Auto Camera – a feature intended to make playing via touch controls even smoother!
Key Features of the Auto Camera:
– Auto Camera follows the marble’s motion to allow for most levels to be completed without any manual camera control
– Auto Camera can always be overridden by manual camera control, allowing players to lean on the Auto Camera as much as they want or need to
– Auto Camera automatically pans downward when falling, making specific aerial movement easier
– Auto Camera can quickly be toggled via the pause menu or the settings menu
Archived Levels
With the introduction of gates, bounce surfaces, and other single player changes, a selection of levels have undergone significant enough changes to warrant new leaderboards. Three levels have also been removed from the level progression entirely. Archived leaderboard times will be visible via GameCenter, but not playable.
You can read the excerpted level list from the upcoming Patch Notes post below (Note: these are written in present tense, but will not be reflected in the live game until the Mega Update is rolled out) :
These levels have been replaced by new, updated versions that require a new leaderboard. The old leaderboards have been archived in GameCenter:
Apogee
Braid
Cirrus
Energy
Full Speed Ahead
Glacier
Gravity Cube
Into the Arctic
Learning to Jump
Medieval Machinations
Mobius Madness
Mount Marblius

These levels have been archived and are no longer in the game (but may come back in Weekly Challenges). Their leaderboards have been archived in GameCenter.

Be on the look out for our Patch Notes post going live on the day of the Mega Update! It lists the significant changes and improvements to the game in an easy-to-find place.
We’ll let you know when it’s time to break out the Mega Marbles!
Until then, have a great week – and we’ll see you in the next Marble It Update Newsletter!
