Cheers

This week’s newsletter is brought to you by the sheer awesomeness of the community – the hours spent making levels, practicing speedruns, watching those speedruns, writing walls of text exploring thoughts on the game and genre and how the future of marbles might manifest, puns, streams, dreams, and so much more…
Glad to have you rolling with us. On with the round-up!
We’ll take a look at challenges, the RTA speedruns in a few categories (with a new moderator joining the squad), new custom levels, and a refresher on the ChapTourney!

Weekly Challenge: Double Jump
Let’s see how speedy these routes can get with a simple extra jump! Smooth out some cycles in Centripetal Force, keep off the ice a bit longer in Stay Frosty, and Really Rally it up on Retrograde Rally this week.
What’ll next week’s challenge be? Only time will tell!

Speed
Real time attack categories have gotten a lot of love recently – and it shows no sign of stopping! Several new runs of Classic RTA have crept their way onto the leaderboard recently. Sevadra has also taken the WR for the Mayhem All Levels category!
Also this week: the speedrun.com moderation team grows by one J2_2!

Custom Levels
The ever-expanding collection of workshop content continues to grow! Perhaps even more exciting is the expansion of the level-making roster’s talent pool. The amount of learning and support in the #level-building channel of the discord is always heartening as people jump at the opportunity to help each other out.
Check out the workshop levels, with recent designers: Hyran, VilleOlof, Marblr, EnderWiki49, Connie, and Koogee Plays!
ChapTourney
Back in March, we saw the inception of the ChapTourney: a chapter-focused speedrun tournament organized by Glooten!
This week, check out the in-depth recap of the tournament! Compelling hosts, great competition, and the quickest marbles in the land. It’s worth the watch, I promise. (Glooten also added subtitles to the intro of the video, in case your Swedish is rusty!)
That’s all for this week, marblers – see you next time!
